Productive things to do when you're bored.

For when you have have a free day. Being productive on a day that you have nothing to do can seem impossible, but here are some ideas that will fill up your day!

1. Email your favorite company. Have you ever looked on the side of your bag of snacks and seen the comment and questions email or address and though ‘Who the heck would actually contact them??” well tip: telling someone that you enjoy there stuff is a nice thing to do and sometimes, they can hook you up with free product. See? A little positivity doesn’t hurt anyone!

2. Try your hand at baking. Guys and girls!  If you’re bored , what better thing to do than make some lovely cookies to munch on? Even better yet: Make some for your friends or neighbors to share. Sharing  always makes your day a little sweeter.

3. Email and old friend and catch up. Snail or Email. Or a relative whom you have some catching up to do! You know how great it feels to get letters right? Just a week ago I emailed one of my old friends and It was really great to see what was going on in her life.

4. Treat yo self. If you are needing a true recovering day, just spend a day making sure you are mentally ready to seize the coming days ahead. Put on a DIY mask, lounge in a bathtub and do some yoga. You know what they say! Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time! Do it for the better of your self and others.

5. Find a new playlist! I’m a person that revolves around music and I’m always happiest when I have some good songs to inspire me. For this I usually put my favorite artist in Pandora and go from there.

6. Are you a creative person? Let your creativity flow! If you’re a painter, paint! If you’re a writer, write! If you’re a pianist, piano! If not, then why not try your hand at whatever interests you? You could have a hidden talent and not even know!

7. Get out of the house! A lot of these tips are for people who are limited in places they can go (Such as me, I love an hour and a half outside the nearest towns and stores) but if you live in the city, get out there! Go explore a book shop, go to a new coffee place, try the new boutique around the corner! Even just hang out at the café to get some new scenery. Who knows what might happen! You might get scouted for a commercial! You might meet your true love! Being around other people is a great way to spend your time.

8. Community service. I’m serious about this one. There's no such thing as ‘not the volunteering type’ like some people seem to think. Let others benefit from your boredom. Even if it’s something small, like cleaning up the neighborhood or helping out in the soup kitchen. If you can't leave your house thats fine to! Because charity starts out home! Clean the house! Wash the dishes! Try anything that will make other's lives easier. What goes around comes around….

Lastly, Browsing. Used as a last resort ONLY. If you need a quick fix for boredom there are some well known websites for that I have compiled. But just remember browsing is not a hobby, its a guilty pleasure.

Title describes it perfectly.
Hilarious customer stories.
Anonymous letters.
Anything but.
Laughing at people with autocorrect troubles.
Texts from a dog.
Adorable cat drawings.

What's the perfect remedy for boredom? Spontaneity. Make something of yourself today.
