Foreign pop: French Gangnam Style: Ce Matin Va Etre Une Pure Soiree

As you can guess from the title,

I think I found the equivalent of Gangnam Style or The Harlem Shake.
Well, in the way that it leaves you with a whatdidIjustwatch/ohmygawdthatwasamazing sort of impression in a foreign language with electronic beats.

I'll provide the English lyrics here too because it's even more awesome with the lyrics if you don't know French. (credit of tools22, Lyricstranslate.com)

It's completely hilarious. Why isn't this more popular? It's dance-around-the-room catchy electronic and hilarious. And the longer you watch the more ridiculous the story becomes, the moral being: Any place is the right place for a party. Any place.

I thought I should share it with you all so here you go!! :

Fatal Bazooka - Ce matin va être une pure soirée feat Big Ali, PZK, Dogg SoSo et DJ Chris Prolls

(AKA, this morning is going to be a pure party)

CAUTION: It's preeeetty innapropriate. if you're easily offended you needent watch. Or just skip :50-1:00

Enjoy!!! :D

This Morning Is Gonna Be A Pure Party

I gotta feeling that this morning's gonna be a pure party*...
Fatal Bazooka!
Featuring Big Ali!
Featuring PZK!
Featuring Dogg Soso!
Featuring Chris Prolls!
Let's go!
Monday morning, in my bed
I partied all night long
Thursday, Friday, Saturday
No way it's already over
I'm always hot, I'm always down
Always rutting, a question nags me
Why wait until saturday, to party, party
Together as V.I.Ps
In the night, all the cats are apple**
Get your iPhone! (the BlackBerry) BM
Rendez-vous at the bakery, 10AM and let's go
For the party, the party...
Come on DJ, play out your music
10 a.m and we're already enjoying so much (Louder)
I gotta feeling that this morning's gonna be a pure party
And we go oh eh oh, oh oh eh oh!
It's ten in the morning
Can't stop yawning
Put your hands in the air
I'm Big Ali, VIP, with the baker (woman)
I see a sexy lady
I'm like "OH MY GOD"
Hey baby let me buy you a pain au chocolat
10 a.m on the Boulevard Péripherique (we're partying)
12.17 pm, at a nursing home (we're partying)
At tea-time in the nursery (we're partying)
Police custody at 7 pm (it's the afterparty)
"[Chris Prolls:] Fatal ?
[Fatal Bazooka:] Yeah ?
[Chris Prolls:] I can't come to the party, my grandfather just died
[Fatal Bazooka:] Yeah! A funeral! We're coming!!"
Come on DJ, play out your music (Rest In Peace***)
10 a.m and we're already enjoying so much
I gotta feeling that this funeral's gonna be a pure party
We go oh eh oh, oh oh eh oh!
[Big Ali:] Let's Go!
[Dogg Soso:]
The alarm clock goes off, I'm juiced
Cap, sneakers, I'm already ready
When you go to work, I go out to party
You get slapped, we get chicks
Night is tacky, we don't go home late
We go out early, we have our watches set on Tokyo's time
[Dogg Soso:]
And we move (move) dance (dance)
Slap your asses and connect (connect)+
Crank up the watts in the water++
And nod your head like a teapot
No, no, there's nothing weird
The Taurine's flowing+++
10 a.m and we're partying
It's better than in Ibiza
Come on DJ, play out your music
10 a.m and we're already enjoying so much (Louder)
I gotta feeling that this morning's gonna be a pure party
And we go oh eh oh, oh oh eh oh!
(x2)
[Big Ali] Rock this party
[Fatal] (A) Rock, this party@
[Big Ali] Everybody in the club
[Fatal] Everybody in the sandwich@@
[Big Ali] Let's Go! Let's Go!
[Fatal] Let go! Let go!
[Big Ali] Put yours hands in the air
[Fatal] Put your hands in your hair@@@
Fatal Bazooka
* It literally means a pure party, but I think (from the context) that it means more of a great party. Soirée is different to Soir - The former means party, and the latter is evening.
** I'm unsure of this translation - it doesn't make that much sense, but it involves cats and apples
+ This was confusing - I'm unsure of it's translation; I just gave the literal one
++ Potentially a French phrase...I think it just means cranking up the music
+++ Taurine is a chemical in Energy Drinks
@ Fatal obviously doesn't understand the expression and instead says "Pierre (A Rock or Stone) Cette Fête (This Party)." However this is not included in the actual lyrics on the left
@@ Another mishearing, I think Fatal thought of a club sandwich, and that's why. He is repeating Big Ali's words in French (trying to)
@@@ Fatal obviously heard "hands in the hair", rather than "air", and this is why he says this in French.
Author's comment:
Done from my own French knowledge and I was also helped by Purplelunacy's original translation
Enjoy =D

Foreign Music recommendations: Contemporary foreign pianists

Okay: Truth time. It was just a coincidence that most of my favorite contemporary piano artists happened to also be from foreign countries. But its been a while since I've done a post on foreign music posts. You might possibly know some of the pianists and discover that they're in fact from all over the globe!

My music taste is very differentiating. Sometimes I'm damaging my hearing turning up the bass, rocking out to some B.A.P. Other times I'm blasting Motzart in my car with the windows down and my shades on. Nooo. I don't do that. Maybe.

Anyways, lately I've been listening to a lot more piano music and I want to share them with you all!

Caution though: Listening to such soul wrenching songs may make you want to curl up on the bed with a jar of Nutella, go through a scrapbook and sigh at pictures sappily, write terrible haikus, or force your loved ones to watch Old Yeller and/or The Notebook with you. You have been warned.

First! We start with le french!
Andre Gagnon
(Origin: Quebec)

! Another accomplished Quebecois artist!

I just recently started listening to his music. Most of the time it incorporates come strings or synths to go along with it. The pace is usually a little slower, and to me, I has kind of a Disney feel too it. Very dreamy and blending a delicate orchestra sound.

This is my favorite song Apres La Pluie!

                                                        Oh! So beautiful and touching!

And now for possibly the most popular...

                                                                          Yiruma!
(Orgin: South Korea)

His music is very well known among comtenporary piano music lovers. He has a great range and
technique that shows diversity among his songs that really can touch your emotions, giving the feelings of noglostia. I'm choosing to show you one of his least popular songs but my personal favorites.

Uugughhh. Its just so heartbreaking. I love the melody of this one. Its so familiar, yet I can't place it. It reminds me of fall. But of course, I'll link you to his most popular song here, The River Flows In You, well known for almost being in Twilight (Whew, close call there)

David Nevue

(Orgin: Oregon (say that twelve times fast))

I don't know very much about David Nevue, but I love his style. The songs of his I've listened to are very light and melodic. My favorite song so far being Dreamers Waltz. It just sounds so Romantic, airy and epic. It reminds me of Skyrim a little bit.....is that bad?

I really want to learn this on the piano now after listening to it again.

**Edit Whoops! Turns out he's from Oregon! Well....I love his song to much to take it off. Oregon is foreign in Indonesia....so...that's my logic!

Fiona Joy Hawkins

(Orgin: Wales)

While Fiona Joy Hawkins uses some synths and a couple synths in some of her songs (Which personally I don't care for, but you guys might have no beefs about it) I like the full, rich sounds to her music, and the range that she uses. So much that sometimes I don't notice that chanting guy in the background! I just know a couple songs by her but I only like this one, Song Phonique.

                                                Bandari

(Orgin: China)

My friend who is an exchange student from ChongQing, China first introduced me to Bandari. Its soooo relaxing. I imagine that this type of music would go well with massages. I love the natural accents of streams and birds that he uses. His music is understated and just lovely! I have to remember to thank her again for showing me! This is my favorite song: First Rose in spring.

While my love for piano music only comes around once in a while, I think I will always enjoy the accents of it in pop songs. I hope I introduced you guys to some new composers that you might enjoy!

I don't remember

The number of syllables

A haiku must have

I am too lazy

To google it, so I guessed

And wrote two haikus

I couldn't resist.

What's the worst haiku that you can write? Write one in the comment section beloooow!

Tips for dressing with style/Favorite street style blogs

Sometimes I wake up in the morning and inspiration pops into my head. I wake up with a smile on my face and shout 'I want to look like a sailor today!' And I toss on a striped blue shirt, a red cardigan and a brass buttoned skirt and skip out the front door. Sometimes not.
Sometimes I just stare at my closet confusedly condensing on my energy into keeping both my eyes open at the same time.

Regardless, I always like to have some kind of an idea of what I would like to portray that day. Sometimes I dress to look professional and intelligent during Job interviews, and sometimes I put on skull scarfs and big black boots to express my punk attitude. Other times I'm inspired by cupcakes, or birds, or landscapes, or designers or the 1800's. It all depends. I guess my number one tip would be~~~~~

1. Don't be afraid to take risks. The rules of style were put in place to be broken. Do you want to wear stripes with polka dots? Do it. Do you want to want to wear a tutu with a leather jacket? Go for it! If you're comfortable with dressing in a minimalist manner, that's great too! Great style can succeeds with trial and error. Dress to express. Dress how you want to dress. Of course there is What Not To Wear types of style rules set in place (Such as focal points, defining your waistline, etc, etc) that can be nice to follow. But dress in a way that makes you feel good and happy.

2. Don't define style by a price tag. That is one reason I love street style so much. It just seems so artistic and free, that's also the place where I've been getting the most inspiration, just by looking around me! You're style points do not go up depending on the number of zeros on the tag. Style can be your grandma's old Autumn coat, or a prom dress you found thrown in a pile of discount clothing in the bins of forever 21 (aka, how I got my 14 dollar prom dress). So don't be sad when you look in the windows of a Chanel or Gucci store. Instead, think out of the box.

3.  Broaden your horizons. Find inspiration! Fashion blogs, magazines etc etc. The Internet is a treasure trove for people interested by fashion. I love street style because it tends to show out of the box thinking on actual people who we know aren't photo-shopped and how the clothes would look on different body types. Here are a couple of my favorite:

A trendy London street style blog with a variety of styles ages and creative ways of dressing

                                                                    http://lookbook.nu/

Street style catered to a younger crowd with photos that are self uploaded by tons of different sources all over the world! (This look from Sheryl L. WWW.WALKINWONDERLAND.COM)

                                                          http://www.thesartorialist.com

A New York street style blog with looks so sophisticated and unique that you could believe they're straight from the runway! Simply fascinating!  (I love that girls hair at the bottom left)

                                                  http://www.japanesestreets.com/

A beautiful, colorful Abstract Japanese street fashion blog with looks ranging from cute, punk to absolutely wonderfully bizarre.

Everybody has different ways of expressing themselves. Through sports, pottery, poetry, singing, drawing, etc, etc. Finding your own personal style is a great form of self expression and a path to individuality. So be confident! You deserve it :D.

My most popular blog posts: Tips for new bloggers

Hello Readers! Chouchou here! (Wait, who else would it be?) with just a little blog update for you! I've been blogging for a little bit now And I'd like to share with you my most popular posts!

Some of my most popular posts so far have been about pixie cuts (My most popular post being the first of my growing out series) aka number 1 on my list: Growing out a pixie cut: The Justin Bieber and Inbetween stage and second most popular being If you're thinking about getting a pixie cut (Which i'm TOTALLY STOKED about considering that that was my first ever blogpost!!!!!)

After that is my post about my trend report on Rainbows and Ombre  Aha! It pays to be fast on trends!

Then there is also my review on the Mandarin rap artist Soft Lipa that is topping my charts which i'm totally amazed about! I stated in that article that not a lot of people probably knew about him but my review turned out to be one of my most popular posts! It was really fun to write as well!

Overall my goal isn't to be popular, that's not why I made this post. I made this post to make this point:

Write what you love and don't  just write because you want to be a popular blog. My goal isn't to be popular, my goal is to share my knowledge, personality and style with you.
I see tons of forums with bloggers that don't think they have enough readers. Find what your writing passion and your personality will come out in your words. Some of the most fun blog posts to write become my most popular. It definitely comes across when you are excited about writing and that's what draws people in.

Thank you, readers for your time. Thank you for also sticking with me. I hope we will have alot of memories to share together.

And now in a typical me fashion, I shall express my appreciation with gifs.

Trends 2013 Mint Green and Denim on Denim Trends

I saw that mint green would be a big trend somewhere, (I don't remember where). But I really REALLY underestimated how much of a trend it would actually be.

Within a month, in my school you will see 75% of the girls wearing something that has a minty green color. I'm guessing it caught on so fast because it really is a pleasing color. Its a bright good color for summer, and its a color that isn't subjected to one genre of clothing. Its a color that's not overtly feminine, or masculine and...its just a really pretty to look at no matter how you dress.

A lot of the girls I know are wearing the color in jeans and hair bows and shoes like this:

But I also think there are some other really nice ways to wear it, especially in dresses.

I borrowed this shirt from my friend (I'm a mooch, I know....) But I helped her pick it out at the junior section in Nordstroms.

On to denim!

For a long time I've had a very strong aversion to denim (ESPECIALLY denim on denim (aka denim inception)). Honestly, I haven't worn jeans once in the past year.

Ever since I was a kid I've always seen people wear jeans and denim every day and I wondered why. Denim isn't as comfortable as leggings or cloth pants and its no more stylish. Plus I thought that the 'used' denim look that was all the rage a couple years ago was a little bit dumb.

But.... I'm kind of liking this seasons denim. It looks like denim, but it doesn't feel like denim. It's lighter and softer. Maybe together we could redefine denim and erase the damage done by denim trends in the 90's eeagh.

I'm sorry JT and Brittany. You both are lovely, beautiful people. but....just not under layers and layers of denim. eeegagh.

Auuughh! Forget it! The damage is done!

Here's some varieties of the denim trend these days to hopefully help you forget past fashion faux pas.

So there you go! Does it take a little of the sting off? Would any of you try these looks? If so, how would you style them? Any trends that you would like me to cover? Comment beloooooow~~~!

Shoes from ShopBop, Scarf from modcloth, black lace shirt from missel bridge, dresses from ruche, bows from claires, lace shirt from new look denim playsuit from selfridge, denim blouse from mango,  demin shirt 2  from top shop, polkadot shirt from moto, drawstring skirt from mango.

Foreign Recommendations: What is considered foreign music?

Hello readers! I was just about to write another of my Foreign Pop reviews, but as I was out and about on the Internet researching some new candidates I question popped into my mind.

What is considered foreign music? What defines it?

I would first define it as music that is foreign to the United States but then I found a flaw....

What about the Beatles? Or Abba? Or Avril Lavigne? To the general public, we probably wouldn't consider this foreign music. But then again, all this music is in English.

No, I'm sorry, The Queen, I don't consider One Direction to be foreign music.

So would foreign music include music created in foreign countries that isn't readily available to an American public?

But then what about Korean Pop music which is all about advertising to international countries?

I guess I would describe foreign music as music that shows difference in a cultural standpoint using language and provides a new perspective using pop culture and anything out of the norm with a non-western standard.

Ehh, I guess you can make your own definition for it, I'll just try to do my best to show you some music that hopefully will broaden your horizons (Or at the very least provide some catchy songs to get stuck in your head).

Foreign music, is however the is the biggest lump of a category ever created, nonetheless. The subcategories are absolutely endless, but I just want to celebrate it and bring you some music that you otherwise wouldn't have heard and I'll keep trying to find music that would be lost to the American viewer due to language barriers.

Have a good weekend! If you have any artists you would like me to feature or review please write it in the comments below!

No new photoshoots expected for a while.

Hey guys and girls! Hope your day is going well! I'm just here to tell you that 5 inches of show are expected in the next week here in Alaska. Yes, 5 inches, IN MAY.

Okay snow, I like you but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I need some shorts and T-shirt weather coming my way.
In conclusion I've decided that I don't want to do any photo shoots for a while. Its still really cold out and I want to save up all my money so I can eventually buy a good camera so I can take good quality photos for you all to enjoy. I will still do my trend posts, but for now, one photo shoot is enough.

I'm planning some different kinds of posts that you all might enjoy, but please if you have any trends you'd like me to follow, any advice you would like me to give or any songs you would like me to review, please do comment. Your voice matters here. Plus you'll make my day :D
Have a happy Wednesday!
